When looking for a solution for activity-based personnel planning, they found AGIMENDO.personnel - a software from IBsolution, which they decided to introduce at the beginning of 2018 after intensive research. The reasons for this are based on three pillars:

• With AGIMENDO.personnel, Phoenix Contact benefits from a large share of predefined and proven functions and processes for personnel planning.
• AGIMENDO.personnel guarantees a fast implementation: within four months, all areas were individually set up and the system was used live by Phoenix Contact.
• An important workflow when carrying out a company-internal transfer (shift), where the receiving department approves the transfer, could be optimally implemented with AGIMENDO.personnel.

Further benefits were the innovative SAPUI5 interfaces and the simple further use of the results in the separate and central SAP BW of the controlling department. After the installation of the AGIMENDO.personnel software, a team of employees from Phoenix Contact and IBsolution GmbH successfully implemented the customer-specific adjustments.

The result

By switching from the previous value-based personnel planning to a now activity-based planning on the level of FTE values (Full Time Equivalent), both a simplification and a refinement of the planning process was achieved. From now on, activity-based planning no longer plans absolute target values, but changes in the headcount of Phoenix Contact's employees.

With AGIMENDO.personnel, Phoenix Contact empowers the responsible team leaders to maintain their teams directly and independently in the application. This achieves the highest possible transparency and responsibility for the team leaders. The following measures are available: Entry, exit, extension, transfer (shift), change in employee group, change in working hours, change active <> inactive, general increase and general reduction. Each measure can then be analysed in reporting and its effects evaluated. Already in the first week that AGIMENDO.personnel was used live at Phoenix Contact, over 1,000 individual measures were maintained by the planners.
