With the support of the SAP consulting company IBsolution, Testo is currently implementing the conceptual pre-project for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, in which, among other things, a detailed review of the current situation will take place and the course will be set for the actual project. For this purpose, IBsolution’s strategy and technology experts conduct focus interviews with the entire management of Testo Industrial Services and derive recommendations for appropriate measures.
For the customer-oriented service company, the request-to-service process in particular is of central importance for business success. Until now, Testo has been using the ERP module SAP Customer Service (CS), which will be supported by SAP S/4HANA in compatibility mode until 2030. In order to be able to map the service processes beyond 2030, the transformation project shows the path of the service transformation towards SAP S/4HANA Service.
“In order to continuously increase the data quality of the service materials and keep it at a high level in the long term, IBsolution worked closely with us to create a master data governance concept,” explains Ralf Birkenmeier. “Here, IBsolution absolutely convinced us with its profound expertise in data management. We are now looking forward to tackling the further steps of our digital transformation together.” High data quality is also relevant for the planned service configurator with a focus on service and time recording.
The main objectives of the transformation project of Testo Industrial Services are the harmonization and standardization of the business processes as well as the establishment of a process-oriented organization. Those responsible expect significant advantages in terms of agility and flexibility from the end-to-end integration and synchronization of processes and master data. With the help of Business Process Management, processes are to be designed and optimized in the future so that they contribute in the best possible way to the fulfillment of strategic corporate goals.
An important role in the conception of the implementation of SAP S/4HANA is played by the future strategic orientation with regard to HR software. Here, Testo Industrial Services has opted for SAP Human Capital Management (HCM). The solution creates a suitable basis for optimizing HR processes in the company, improving the employee experience, and positioning Testo as an attractive employer that also lives up to its corporate social responsibility.
In order to be able to offer customers an even more comprehensive range of services, new digital services are to be created on the basis of existing data. The prerequisite for such a data-driven business model is a harmonized IT architecture that enables end-to-end integration and synchronization of data from the individual systems. In the area of corporate planning and finance, modern, user-friendly planning tools are being introduced as part of the digital transformation. They grant greater planning freedom due to a higher degree of automation.
In a complex digitalization project, consistent change and risk management is a crucial success factor.
