Vaillant Group migrates to SAP Process Orchestration 7.5

The Vaillant Group has technically updated its middleware to the current state of the art and has migrated from SAP Process Integration 7.3.1 to SAP Process Orchestration 7.5. IBsolution was responsible for the management of this major international project.

Communication and coordination as key skills

Within the company and beyond its borders, numerous departments, national companies, external service providers, software providers and other stakeholders are involved in integration projects. The more stakeholders there are, the more different are the ideas, parameters, objectives and knowledge levels.

Nevertheless, companies often underestimate the amount of communication and coordination effort that competent project management requires in order to reconcile all parties and their expectations and interests. The result of this misjudgement are failed projects or at least integrations where budget, time and quality are not met. In the long run, the balance sheet is even worse - even if the interface does what it is supposed to do at first glance.

 

Everything under control from planning to implementation

The planning phase already shows whether the integration project has a realistic chance of success, can achieve the expected added value and brings innovation. However, companies often do not carry out the planning phase adequately and conscientiously - with negative consequences for the further course of the project.

From the point of view of efficient project management, it is essential to have an overview of the entire project in the planning phase and to enter into an intensive exchange with all stakeholders of the project. Special methods such as Design Thinking and Design-Led Innovation are suitable for this. Such workshops can be flexibly adapted to the individual needs of companies.

The subsequent technical implementation is carried out by experienced experts who have many years of experience with technical system integration and are excellently trained in SAP integration topics.
