IBsolution GmbH was awarded the TOP JOB Seal for outstanding employer qualities by the former Minister of Economics Wolfgang Clement in Berlin on February 22, 2019. The award, presented by the Center for Employer Attractiveness, zeag GmbH, and the University of St. Gallen, is only given to companies that have had their qualities as employers checked. The motivation for the companies to participate is the knowledge that employee satisfaction and employer attractiveness are more than ever crucial for success.

The Heilbronn-based IT and SAP consulting company IBsolution has been developing business solutions as an SAP partner for companies of all sizes - from medium-sized businesses to global corporations - since 2003. It was awarded the TOP JOB seal of quality by an independent jury and, with third place among companies of its size, it is one of the best employers in the German SME sector.

The managing directors Oliver Donner, Loren Heilig and Andreas Mayer have worked very consciously on their attractiveness as employer for prospective and established IT specialists. Their goal is to form a team that identifies 100% with the goals and values of the company. The focus is on the employees with all their needs. That’s why they promote contact activities, from daily lunches to regular employee events and company running meetings.

A special highlight in the anniversary year 2018, in which IBsolution celebrated its 15th anniversary, was a joint trip to Mallorca, with which the management thanked IBsolution for the successful cooperation.

TOP JOB 2019 awardGood performance also pays off financially at IBsolution. In successful years, the management voluntarily distributes a part of the proceeds as profit sharing to the entire staff. “The success of our company is the result of the work of every single employee. We would like to thank you for this. We are not only colleagues here, but friends - and that’s what makes working together at IBsolution so extraordinary. We notice this, for example, when employees inspire acquaintances for the company and win them as new colleagues”, says Loren Heilig, Managing Director and one of the company founders.

Internal entrepreneurship is also given a lot of space. For example, each department and manager maintains a project-related, individually adapted personnel strategy, which is supported by the human resources department. Development opportunities are offered to employees through training courses ranging from consultant training to project manager training and work-life balance workshops.

“Our TOP JOB award in 2017 was a great success and at the same time an incentive to become even better. We have taken up the suggestions of our employees and implemented a number of measures, such as our quarterly meetings, which report on new trends and achievements of the company. Innovative working methods such as Design Thinking in the specially created Innovation Room and Ship-It-Days, in which our employees find new solutions within 24 hours in self-organization, are very popular and offer room for creativity”, reports Oliver Donner, Managing Director of IBsolution.

Daniel Servatius, Human Resources Officer at IBsolution, adds: “We want to grow by another 50 employees in 2019 and still want to keep the team spirit and find new friends who enrich our daily work with their ideas. A great challenge in the highly competitive market for qualified IT professionals”.

For the current TOP JOB round 98 medium-sized companies have applied. 81 companies are now allowed to use the seal for the next two years. A total of 16,740 employees were surveyed, around 62% of whom work in family businesses. The top employers include 25 national and 7 global market leaders. On average, the companies employ 307 people and the proportion of women in management positions averages 24%.
In his speech at the award ceremony, former Vice-Chancellor and Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel thanked all the entrepreneurs: “Property obliges. Its use should also be for the benefit of the public. It is above all the medium-sized entrepreneurs in Germany who, with their willingness to train young people, do justice to this constitutional mandate”.

The TOP JOB company comparison

Since 2002, medium-sized companies have been working on their qualities as employers with TOP JOB. The project also includes a seal with which the best employers make their qualities visible. The organization is the responsibility of zeag GmbH - Centre for Employer Attractiveness, based in Constance on Lake Constance. The scientific management of the benchmarking is in the hands of Prof. Dr. Heike Bruch and her team from the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen. The mentor of the project is the former Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, Wolfgang Clement.

The organizer: zeag GmbH I Centre for Employer Attractiveness

Under the umbrella of the Center for Employer Attractiveness, zeag GmbH thematically combines the two benchmark projects TOP JOB and ETHICS IN BUSINESS. zeag thus supports medium-sized companies that are already making outstanding achievements in the fields of personnel management and corporate social responsibility or would like to do so in the medium term.
